Starting in March at Manly Golf Club, recording Nearest the Pin will be faster and easier through the MiScore App.
Look for the flashing golf ball icon on NTP holes and simply tap to enter your shot distance for yourself or a playing partner.
No more searching for pencils or writing on markers just quick, simple entry in the app.

Philip Baird provides a simple step-by-step guide to recording Nearest The Pin (NTP) results using the MiScore app.
The NTP feature is gender-based and only permits eligible players to submit an NTP entry.
Only one mobile phone is required per group if you don’t have a phone, another player can record your distance for you. If no one in the group has a phone, please advise the golf shop of your distance on the relevant NTP hole.
NTP is now measured using the flagstick’s embedded tape measure to the edge of the hole, rather than the centre as previously. Please ensure the measurement is taken from the front of your ball.
- To add your name to NTP:
- Select the flashing NTP icon.
- Check the displayed distance.
- If you’re closer, select Add Self or partner (whoever is closer)
- Enter distance and confirm.
- Your name will appear as the current NTP holder.
NTP winners are awarded their prizes automatically once the competition is closed.
