Following a review conducted by the Golf Committee and Board, the Club’s competition booking opening times have now been standardised.
This review was initiated in response to feedback from the 2024 Member Survey. Previously, bookings opened at varying times – as early as 6.00am or 7.00am on some days, 4.00pm on others, and 6.00pm online for select competitions. This inconsistency created unnecessary complexity for members.
Under the adopted system, which has been on trial for the past few months, all regular competition timesheets now first open uniformly at 6.00pm, 8 days prior to play. This provides greater convenience, consistency for new and transitioning members, and aligns bookings with a time when the majority of members are available.
The Board and Golf Committee thank those members who contributed input during the trial period and trust these changes will deliver a clearer, simpler, and more convenient process for competition bookings. A summary of booking opening times is noted below and now forms part of the Club’s By-Laws.
We acknowledge that with close to 1,000 playing members no single system will suit everyone. However, after carefully considering a wide range of input, the Board has confirmed the adopted changes are final and will not be subject to further review.
