I am pleased to announce on behalf of the Board, that we are now accepting Membership Applications forms for all categories of Membership.
Before submitting the application, please take a moment to review the following instructions:
- Waitlist Duration: For some membership categories, the current waitlist is approximately 3.5+ years. Please note that wait times may vary based on the number of vacancies each year. Some categories may have less demand, resulting in shorter wait times. We do not provide your positions on the waitlist however will send updates periodically. Applications submitted after the 8th November 2024 will be added to the end of the current waitlist.
- Membership Categories: The applicant will simply need to select a ‘Playing Category’ or ‘House’ Membership. For those playing golf, your ‘Playing category’ will be determined at the time of offer, depending on your age and availability within our membership categories. A House Membership and Playing Membership are two separate waitlists and by applying for a House Membership does not change your position on the waitlist for a Playing Membership.
- Proposer and Seconder Requirements: Applicants must have a Proposer and Seconder who are current members of Manly Golf Club for 5+ years. If you do not know any members because you are from outside the area, please contact us, and we will facilitate for you to meet one of our Directors.
- Complete Applications: Incomplete applications will not be accepted and returned to the applicant. Please ensure all sections are filled out completely before submission to avoid delay and disappointment.
- Application Date: Once the completed application is received, it will be marked with the submission date. The applicant will receive an email acknowledging receipt of application.
- Waitlist Fee: The waitlist fee mentioned on page 3 of the application form, is only applicable for those applying for a ‘Playing’ membership.
- Review Process: After we have received your application, as per our Constitution, the applicant’s details will be displayed on the Club’s Notice Board for a two-week period. If there are no objections from our Members, the applicant will be added to our waitlist register.
- Submissions: Completed application forms may be submitted in person at the office from Monday to Friday (9am to 5pm) or emailed directly to: reception@manlygolf.com.au. This ensures that your application is accurately recorded and placed in the correct order.
