Dear Members,
Please find below progress images as new Course Maintenance Facility build progresses.
The works to date have included:
- Clearing debris and site of accumulated waste.
- Site establishment – boundary fencing, site office etc.
- Communication and planning between builder and course maintenance leadership team to ensure continuity of services to golf course
- Excavating site in preparation for screw pile and slab construction. This has resulted in the mounding of excavated materials at the rear of the 9th. This will remain until fill is required on the area currently occupied by the existing (to be demolished) maintenance shed.
- Testing of site excavations at various levels to ascertain Acid Sulphate conditions. The results to date pleasing and have resulted in minimal treatment requirements. The soils are “mildly aggressive” which has not required treatment though consideration to screw pile specification to ensure design specification meet
- Resolving mains power retention strategy under site and minor re-routing in filtration basin area
- Perimeter blockwork
- Sub-surface drainage, geo fabric and aggregate installation
- Screw pile drilling and installation in preparation for suspended concrete slab
- Steel support beams, cross sections and slab retention plates installation
