NO PLAY ZONE between 5th and 6th holes. (See below overhead picture)
The area recently cleared between the 5th and 6th holes in the northern section of the golf course has been replanted.
To protect the new plants this area has been designated a NO PLAY ZONE and marked by a white line and signposted. Play is prohibited from this area and free relief is available as per Rule 16.1f. When taking a free drop the reference point is determined as the nearest point of complete relief from where the ball lies within the NO PLAY ZONE.
If a player’s ball cannot be found within the NO PLAY ZONE and it is known or virtually certain the ball came to rest within the NO PLAY ZONE, free relief may be taken using Rule 16.1b. When taking relief in this situation, the reference point is the estimated point the ball last crossed the margin of the NO PLAY ZONE.
The section of this wetland that has not been cleared(as shown in the overhead photo), remains a Red Penalty Area and the red stakes have been realigned accordingly.
If entering the NO PLAY ZONE to retrieve a ball please exercise caution to avoid any damage to the new plants.
Please note: The NO PLAY ZONE to the right of the 15th hole has been removed and a ball coming to rest in this area must be played as it lies.
Always check the temporary Local Rules prior to play. These may be viewed on MiScore and the 1st Tee Noticeboard.
