After careful consideration and consultation, the Board has reviewed and approved updates to our Dress Code.

These will come into effect as part of a By-Law update from 1st June 2025.

These revisions reflect the Club’s commitment to maintaining high standards while evolving with modern expectations.

The updated Dress Code aligns with the traditions of private golf clubs, while also acknowledging contemporary trends and member feedback. It will be rolled out in the next series of amendments to our brochures and club collateral.

You can view the 2025 Dress Code attached, the key changes of note:

Key Updates:

  • Golf-specific hoodies are now permitted on the course and practice areas.
  • Sandals (including Birkenstock-style) are now allowed for both men and women in the lower lounge area, provided they are neat and smart-casual.
  • Denim is permitted in the Clubhouse, as long as it is not ripped, faded, or distressed.
  • Golf shirts must remain tucked in for men on-course and in the clubhouse, but collared dress shirts may be worn untucked in the Clubhouse.
  • Clear guidance has been provided on appropriate footwear, advertising on clothing, and clubhouse headwear.

These updates are designed to make the Dress Code easier to understand and comply with, and we appreciate your cooperation in upholding these standards.

We kindly ask that members do not approach other members or guests regarding their attire, rather please speak with the Golf Shop staff or Club Administration.

Thank you for your ongoing support in maintaining the welcoming and respectful atmosphere that makes Manly Golf Club so special.

Regards,
